In 2020, Ms. Reenstierna got multiple National/State grants and programs to get Central West Ballet through the COVID-19 Pandemic. In 2021, after Central West Ballet's return to the stage, Karin Reenstierna initiated a collaboration with Modesto Symphony Orchestra, Opera Modesto and Prospect Theater Project to bring to the stage René Daveluy's new ballet Frankenstein: or the Modern Prometheus with live orchestra, singers and actors in order to complete Daveluy's vision for the production. In October 2022, this collaborative endeavor opened with live orchestra to sold out houses at the Gallo Center for the Arts.
